What is Auto Mode？

Auto Mode simplifies brewing on xBloom Studio by letting you store three recipes of choice directly on the machine, with a one-click startup - no recipe cards, or phones are needed.

Effortless Brewing: Auto Mode is perfect for consistent, repeat recipe use - ideal if you’re working through a big bag of coffee, sharing the machine with family, or brewing in a public space like an office.

Custom Pre-set Recipes: Auto Mode offers three built-in recipes for light, medium, and dark roasts, brewing with the same precision as scanning a card or using the app. You can replace any pre-set with your own recipes on the app.

Quick Mode Switch: If you love dialling in coffees, Pro Mode gives you full control, and you can switch back anytime. For those preferring simplicity, Auto Mode is just three quick presses away.

Auto Mode VS Pro Mode

Auto Mode: Simplifies brewing with a one-click startup that doesn’t need recipe cards or a phone. Designed for quick and consistent brewing, it’s perfect for home or office use. Studio allows you to save three pre-set recipes and provide adjustments for grind size or brew ratio directly on the machine interface, with additional customisation available via the app.
 
Pro Mode: It supports the independent use of grinding, pouring, and weighing modules, perfect for crafting custom recipes or using individual features, like grinding or brewing coffee. Designed for advanced users and coffee enthusiasts, Pro Mode offers complete control. Through the app, you can precisely adjust parameters for a barista-level brewing experience.

How do I enable Auto Mode?

Make sure your firmware and app are the latest (APP version must be at least V2.0.0 )
Download xBloom Coffee App ;  Update firmware
Connect the App to Studio via Bluetooth.
Access Setting - Auto Mode - Enable. （Via Machine Info -- Click Auto Mode）

How do I switch between Auto Mode and Pro Mode on the machine?

To toggle between Auto Mode and Pro Mode, simply press the middle knob three times on the machine’s main interface when Auto Mode is enabled.

How do I know which recipes are configured in Auto Mode?

You can easily check your set recipes through the app:
Connect your app to the Studio via Bluetooth and tap on the machine image.
Select "Auto Mode Recipe" from the menu.
View or update your Auto Mode recipes directly from this screen.

How do I change recipes or update on the Studio?

Switching and updating recipes is easy! In Auto Mode, three built-in recipes for light, medium and dark roasted coffee beans are available in the main interface (A, B, C).

Switch pre-set recipe: Press the right knob to cancel and return to the main screen to re-select the recipe.

Customise pre-set recipe: Any user connected to the machine can modify or replace the pre-set recipes using the xBloom App. Auto Mode not only supports you to customise and edit 3 popular recipes, but also provides the ability to quickly switch between pre-set recipes.

Access Setting - Auto Mode - Auto Mode Recipe - 🔃replace button - Sync.

Do I need the app to use Auto Mode?

You don’t need the app to activate Auto Mode. Simply select it on the machine and it’s ready to go! However, you can use the xBloom app to edit common recipes.

How do I brew my favourite coffee beans with the Omni Dripper 2?

We have been dedicated to research and development to ensure the next generation of the Omni Dripper works seamlessly with the xBloom Studio. The Omni Dripper 2 offers faster flow rate and uses advanced anti-static technology to minimise the impact of static electricity on coffee grounds.

Step-by-step guide
Put the filter paper into the Omni Dripper 2.
Plug the Omni Dripper 2 into the dock on the xBloom Studio (if the xPod Dock is on the docking station, remove it first).
Using the recipe card, touch the NFC area on the top of the xBloom Studio, and the display on the body will show recipe information.
Pour the coffee beans into the bean hopper of the grinding module.
Press the knob on the right of the display, and xBloom Studio will execute the brewing recipe and start making coffee.

💡Tips
With the「xBloom Coffee」app (available on the Apple Store and Google Play Store), you can customise the content of the brewing recipe to make a coffee that meets your expectations.
Not compatible with xBloom Original.

Question 6

What does 'WAIT' on machine panel mean?

Accepted Answer

The 'wait' message appears when the machine's overflow prevention function is triggered. However, sometimes it's triggered in abnormal circumstances. Here are some common reasons and tips to avoid this:
Ensure the security tape on the scale is removed.
Place the cup before starting to grind (to avoid impacting the scale's judgment)
Make sure the cup isn’t touching the machine wall during brewing (to prevent sensitive weight detection)
Do not remove or replace the cup midway through brewing, as a sudden decrease in weight will pause the process.
When brewing using the app, align the actual brew method with cup type (i.e. Omni Dripper or Other drippers), so the machine adjusts the threshold and avoids overflow.
Don't add extra beans into xPods (as measurements are already precise)

We are proactively working on seeing how we can further improve the user experience on this functionality. Meanwhile, to not waste the coffee already in the dripper, please have a try at:

1. brewing recipe with skipped grind mode: quick press right-knob three times to reboot machine, connect to app, scan recipe card, edit a recipe to turn off grind mode, and proceed to brew.

or

2. brew manually: quick press right-knob three times to reboot machine, go directly into brewing module by pressing middle knob, and dispense water manually to complete brew process.

How to clean a grinder?

xBloom Studio there will be a spiral clearing mechanism before the powder is discharged, which basically does not need to be cleaned on a daily basis, but it is recommended that you regularly use the complimentary brush to sweep the powder drop opening and the bottom of the grinder for residual powder.

xBloom Studio is designed with an intelligent cleaning trigger mechanism, which will automatically perform an additional idle sweeping program after grinding is completed. This process will effectively remove the coffee bean residue inside the grinder, minimize the residual coffee powder from affecting the quality and taste of the next round of grinding.

Can I have one machine paired to two devices or share machine with someone else?

Want to connect your xBloom to your phone AND iPad, or your partner/friend want to use the machine via app as well? While we don't have a machine "sharing" function with the xBloom Studio, however, due to the machine's easy Bluetooth connection, you simply need to disconnect from the machine, leaving it "free" to be connected by another device. Only one mobile device can actively control an xBloom Machine at a time.

How to use an external water source?
The xBloom Studio features an internal pump, allowing you to choose between using the included water tank or connecting to an external water source with 1/4" OD tubing. For non-pressurized sources like a 5-gallon jug, simply attach the tube (up to 19 inches long) directly to the machine. For integration into a pressurized system from your home or filter system, we recommend purchasing our Water Inline Pressure Regulator accessory to ensure safe and seamless plumbing.
Whether from the built-in water tank or directly hooked to your water system with an external pipe, enjoy the flexibility to use it whenever and however you prefer.

User Guide
non-pressurized water source, you can directly insert a water purification pipe (1/4" OD tubing, within 19 inches long) into the machine.
Pressurized water source, it is recommended that you click here to purchase a pressure feed fitting from the brand's website to ensure safe and seamless plumbing.

Installation Steps
Connect the water pipe: Insert the water pipe into the water inlet connector at the bottom of the coffee machine and connect it securely, and connect the other end to a non-pressurized water source.
Change Water Intake Unit: Press and hold the right knob for 3 seconds on the machine's main interface to switch the water intake method (tap)

⚠Please note that when inserting the water pipe into the water inlet, insert it firmly, otherwise it will easily cause water leakage; when you need to pull out the water pipe, push the plug-in slider to pull it out.

Place the water source below the level of the machine. Please try to dispense water. If all functions normally, you can now start brewing!
Remove the water pipe and water pipe connector when the device is not in use.

Precautions
Water pipe specifications: Please use a clean water pipe with 1/4" OD tubing and within 19 inches long.
Regular Inspection: Regularly check the water inlet and connecting pipes to ensure there are no leaks or damages, maintaining the equipment in good working condition.
Follow Guidelines: Adhere to all applicable safety procedures during installation or maintenance. Turn off all power sources and relieve system pressure before installing/removing equipment.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Regularly clean the water inlet accessories and water pipes to prevent the accumulation of scale and impurities.
